Making her theatrical directorial and writing debut with Lionsgate’s comedy feature film “Sick Girl,” former casting associate Jennifer Cram has successfully made the jump to Hollywood writer/director. Starring Nina Dobrev, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sherry Cola, and Stephanie Koenig “Sick Girl” tells a story about female friendships, thru the lens of a woman (Dobrev) who lies about having cancer in a misguided attempt to reconnect with her friends, who have grown apart. The film, which was ten years in the making, attests to the fact that perseverance is paramount in Hollywood.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jennifer always had a passion for writing, reading and film. While majoring in Communications and English at The University of Scranton, Jennifer realized she was destined to work in the entertainment industry and immersed herself in film classes. Upon earning her diploma she moved to New York to work at “The Montel Williams Show.” A year later Jennifer moved to Los Angeles. Once in LA, she landed a position with award-winning Casting Director John Papsidera. She went on to work as a Casting Associate on “Zombieland,” “Inception,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “22 Jump Street,” to name a few. Not only did she gain casting expertise, but she was afforded the opportunity to work alongside many prolific directors - essentially taking a crash course in the entertainment business.
