Her 2018 documentary, Mommy Wildest, for CBC's Nature of Things, was nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards: Best Science or Nature Documentary, Best Documentary Editing, and Best Documentary Cinematography. It profiles matriarchal societies in the animal kingdom, questioning the idea that patriarchy is the status quo. Her two-hour special for CBC She Walks with Apes, filmed in Uganda, Rwanda, and Indonesia, follows the trailblazing “Trimates,” Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey, and Biruté Galdikas who studied great apes in the wild and the next generation of your women inspired by them to continue studying our closest cousins. It premiered on BBC America on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day (2019), and was a top pick in Teen Vogue, Buzzfeed, and The New York Times, and was narrated by Sandra Oh. It was nominated for Best Science or Nature Documentary, Best Director, and won Best Editing at the Canadian Screen Awards. Her documentary about Greta Thunberg and the youth movement suing the government for climate justice, entitled Rebellion, was the season premiere of the 60th anniversary of The Nature of Things (2020). Her film Apocalypse Plan B, (2023) investigates the perils of climate geoengineering and “hacking” the climate to stop global warming, and was narrated internationally by Jane Fonda.
